I had been watching a dozen different auctions trying to get a Nikon 5700.. 5 Megapixel camera with 8X optical zoom.

    5700204view

Of course every auction would shoot from $300 to $500 in a matter of minutes near the end of the auction....

... but with some going stock for $510 to $540 I got mine for $460 with a 256meg card (stock card is only 16 or 32.)

<-- Waits paitiently for box to arrive.

BTW... when they first came out, they retailed for $1199.... street price these days for a new one is $700.

    Review of Camera

I love all the Pros, and three of the negatives are already nixed... I can get extra batteries for about $20 each, I got the bigger memory card, and the camera wasn't expensive.

now I just have to wait a while for the price to some down, and/or me to save up.

that's a seriously badass looking cam you got there, though. way outta my league. I wouldn't know what to do with it.
